Martin, without meaning to be too rude, that sounds more like a topic for
a Social and Political Science essay; I suspect that your average punter
is unlikely to respond with much more than "come again?".
And as soon as you bring "moral rights" into it, you machine gun open an
entire aisle-full of cans of philisophical worms...
As a question to ask once you've found a genuinely interested punter with
a degree or two under his belt, it's highly respectable. As an opening
line it's the moral equivalent of "Excuse me, by the miracle of ocular
refraction I espied your sinusoidal splendiference from the most
geographically removed location in this intoxicating beverages dispensary,
and wondered whether you would care to join me in a mutual introduction of
liquor to the parched surfaces of our alimentary canals?"
Short and punchy is the way to go
