That was the plan from the moment we started the CD issue ;-)
I've already started leading some of the more erudite journalists into the
murky area of copyright legislation (and some were heading that way
without prompting). Several are actively researching the EUCD and its
likely implications.

Go for it ;-)

How about a compromise (people in London need to get out more ;-p):
Cambridge - for a start I'll find it easier to find a venue, and it's
small enough that just about anywhere worth going to is a short walk from
the centre of town (making posting meeting pubs/restaurants trivial to
find). For those in London, a return ticket is about 15 quid and less
than an hour's journey, and for those outside London it's not that much
harder to get to. Free car parking can be found for those travelling that
way.

On this I am agreed with Eddy - if we do start raising money, it would be
a much better idea to donate it to FIPR (they have mechanisms for
accepting donations, and I agree in general with the advantages of a
relatively anarchic organisation for CDR expressed here by several).
I'll say a lot more about the working relationship between FIPR and CDR at
the conference/party.

The Dmitry CD will be a CDRom image available for download and burning,
along with a small run of CDs funded by private donations from those
involved in creating it (and anyone else with too much spare cash who
wants to give some of it away).

Yes, we agreed to change the name of this list several months ago. It has
been sitting near the bottom of my list of todos ever since... I may one
day get round to changing it - for the moment just consider the list to be
named in honour of Dmitry, rather than being about him ;-)
