I've just spoken to a lawyer regarding the information, WHSmith provided
me on the ebook limitations. He was very sceptical about the whole
issue. I guess I did not explain the case very well but..

His main question was "where is your loss?". If it is just a cost of a
book than he said there is no point in doing anything. Yes, he said, you
can complain, but "where it will bring you, I'm not sure".

He said that probably their limitations are perfectly legal. When I
asked about the fair dealing (1988 act) rights he said that he does not
know exactly!! but probably they can do this.

Well, this was a first Sheffield lawyer I found on the net, specialised
in copyright issues. Maybe I'll find a better one.

What I need is a very brief description of a problem in correct terms.
Can someone help?

As I understand there are 2 problems:

1. The description of an ebook on WHSmith website is not correct. I want
them to change it.

2. The limitations on an ebook are not legal. I want them to allow me to
do with an ebook all what I might want.

Any suggestions?
