Hi.
http://uk.eurorights.org/issues/cd/help/ is pretty concise and good. There's
one element I would change.
Before:
"The most reliable way to test a CD is to put it in a computer and try to
extract one or more tracks from it onto your hard drive. To do this you'll
need software known as a `CD ripper' or `CD audio extractor' or something
like that."
Consider changing to:
"The most reliable way to test a CD is to put it in a computer and try to
extract one or more tracks from it onto your computer. To do this you'll
need software known as a `CD ripper' or `CD audio extractor.'" Click here
for <url>easy, step-by-step instructions</>.
I'll write the newbie instructions for your site if you want. That way
even Grandma can help out if she has the will but not the skill.
Also, in addition to the cd at uk.eurorights.org e-mail for reporting
corrupt CDs, consider putting a form in there or on another page. The reason
for this suggestion is that since I put a report form on my site 48 hours
ago, the visitor reports have been very consistent and I've gone from ~10
reports to 28. Forms make it easy because people know explicitly what you're
looking for while they fill out the info.
Bitchin' job, keep it up,
Chuck
