It's running Zeus (Apache is available on the same machine on a different
IP address if you really must, but should be no need, except for... see
below), MySQL, PHP, Perl, Python available. Java servlet runners over
the dead bodies of the five people who own the machine concerned.

Having ranted about using Zeus not so long ago, it's now quite possible
that at least a section of the site will be served using Apache - I'm
thinking seriously about using mod_virgule (the Apache module behind
www.advogato.org, to set up an advogato-alike for web-based discussion for
the Campaign for Digital Rights (including the projects, diaries, and
certification process)). This definitely won't work with Zeus, so it will
have to be Apache.

Realistically, this could be hosted on a different machine (and probably
ought to be, given the rather feeble powers of pling.qwghlm.org). Will
need:

* Non-root shell access (via ssh) for one or more (approved) CDR
  volunteers (one being me).

* Email access to someone with root on the machine who is able to
install additional C libraries, edit httpd.conf, restart Apache, etc,
as required, and in a timely fashion.

* Linux preferred, at least glibc2.1, Debian (ideally woody) preferred
over Red Hat, but Red Hat acceptable if no other offers.

* Perl required.

* Bandwidth/hosting costs to be swallowed by donator (at least until
either they get so large that he/she unwilling to swallow them, or CDR
obtains a treasurer and funds of its own (not likely any time soon)).

Any offers would be gratefully received...

All the best,

Julian
