Hi all,

<quote>
I rang the BMG hotline (0151 225 1159), and they offered me an
uncorrupted replacement CD in exchange for my name and address.
<end quote>

This sort of thing pisses me off.... is there any reason that I should have to provide my name and address in order to purchase a un-corrupt CD?

I shall be phoning saying 'I was thinking of purchasing a copy for my niece', I shall then inform them that since I do not wish my (or even worse her) name and address to a mass-mailing list that I shall not be purchasing the disk via them.

If they get the idea that they can use this as a way of collecting names and addresses (for direct marketing) then I shall be extremely annoyed and disappointed. What will they want to know next... sexual preference?
