I also watched it (twice) and have a recording that can be 'loaned'
should no other access be possible.

I think the programme failed to note several points.

1). The 10% fall in record sales.... everyone seems to forget that
we're in a recession and just blame 'pirates'. They also fail to point
out that the record industry is partly to blame as they just push crap
music. Even the teeny-boppers are becoming wise, newsround (kiddy-news)
had an article how BMG pulled sales of current #1 so that it wouldn't
interfere with the new Gareth Gates release.

2). People who download have just as much negative impact on sales as
those who hear songs on the radio and sing them. Its widely recognised that
more exposure to music means more purchases.

[how I laughed when the guy from record industry said 'I don't believe in
opinion polls' - well stop producing crap music based on them then!!]

3). The record/film industry is worried about control, and the fact that
technology is loosening their grip on it. I find it most worrying that the
BBC, who is currently running a programme to promote new talent, did not
mention this at all.

4). They also failed to mention Free software in context to the DRM stuff
that Hollywood want put in PCs. This is just another area of control that
big business wants, primary so it can make more money.

Anyhow enough rambling for now....
Simon.
