Of course the point (or if you're less cyncial than I, the unintended effect)
of laws that a large part of the population breaks in going about their daily
business is that if you ever want to arrest someone for non-criminal
behaviour, you can usually find something to nail them with. Timothy Leary's
case is a good example of that, he got decades in jail for having half a
joint.
