I've often wondered if it would be possible to buy several kilos of
hemp-seed (e.g. from some kind of fishing supply wholesaler), and then
go out at night and scatter it in all the front gardens of some
neighbourhood, and around parks and so on, or on unused corners of
land. Does the hemp plant seed itself well and spread? If it was
growing everywhere, what use would the law be? (Not that it is any
use now in any case).

Hmmm ... were you making a connection between 'perception-shifting'
and dope? Maybe I missed the point.

It does look like Bruce Perens is taking a big risk from a legal
standpoint, but if he was targetted with legal action (or even jail),
can you imagine the amount of support he would receive ? It would be
totally crazy. It might even cause something to change ...

Actually, recently, with this whole JPEG thing, it is a shame that
Forgent don't appear to have a UK office we could protest outside.
