Holding Lord S in a high regard has to be his first mistake ;-) But in my
contacts, both in letters and face-to-face, with Duff, he always seemed
sympathetic, but never really went much further than that. When we pressed
him to contact the Council, he was quite evasive. I'm glad to hear he's going
to at least discuss the issue with Lord S.
To the people who know more about Lib Dems than me -- would it be likely that
he might start leading the Lib Dems a little more towards a proper anti-swpat
standpoint, rather than the effectively-pro-swpat view they hold now?
Assuming he's re-elected of course...
Regards,
Tom
p.s. the "EU is off-topic" was as much a warning to me as to anyone else ;-)
I'm prone to "going off on one" when the green party or the EU is mentioned!
